Charity Work

But what really gets my motor running is helping others. Over the last twelve years, I’ve completed seven, month-long, fly and build missions with a local group run by my dear friend Greg Whyte. Our focus was initially on Botswana, though we switched to Indonesia as the on-the-ground-liaisons made the builds, easier to manage. All of the trips have been self-funded which includes a substantial contribution towards the building costs for each project.

We go to build what the local community needs. In most cases, it’s classrooms and daycare centres which gives the locals a place to leave their children, so they’re able to go out and earn a living. This increases their financial standings, which allows them to provide an education for their children which has a flow-on effect for generations to come. For every ounce of energy expended on those trips, an exponential return can be seen in their worlds.

It’s fantastic and incredibly humbling. If you think you can assist, please get in contact with me.

What really gets my motor running is the charity work I’ve done in Indonesia and Botswana with a group from the Seventh Day Adventist church. The seven, month-long trips, have all been self-funded, including a substantial contribution towards the building costs for each project.

We mostly build classrooms and daycare centres to give locals a place to leave their children during the working day. This enables them to go out and earn a living to better their lives whilst providing their children, the education they deserve. For every ounce of energy expended on those trips, an exponential return is injected into their worlds. It’s fantastic and incredibly humbling.
